A lady named Komal, who studies photography in Paris, came to my workshop in Třebíč. Komal wanted to learn well one of the oldest photography techniques - wet collodion photography.
I greatly appreciate her trust that she traveled all the way from Paris to see me. By air to Prague and then we organized a trip from Prague to Třebíč.
I also arranged accommodation for Komal in the historic part of Třebíč in a small cozy hotel Kocour. The hotel's history goes back several centuries. I believe this was also a new experience for Komal and she praised my recommendation.
Tintype 4×5″ Stenopeika kamera
The photo was taken during our workshop in March 2023 with a Stenopeika camera made in Italy.

My photo studio is in the newly renovated attic of our house, where I conduct workshops. In addition, when the weather is nice, we also take photos outside in the garden or move to a pre-selected location.
The facilities are of course available, I have a modernly equipped darkroom - mainly for measurements on wet collodion.
Each of the participants will receive a printed manual according to the type of workshop, so that after completing the workshop it will help to return to the points of joint work.
The advantage of the printed form is that you can take the manual anywhere and simply use it practically. This is my experience compared to using electronic documentation and searching on a computer or mobile when you have protective gloves on your hands while taking pictures or mixing chemicals, for example.
At the end, we couldn't miss a joint dinner and a discussion about our photos tomorrow of several days of cooperation. Pleasant environment Hotelu Kocour and the historical part of Třebíč was pleasantly aligned with the type of workshop we managed together.
