Note: Ambrotype is the kind of picture formed by the wet collodion process. Ambrotype may be created\u00a0e.g. on clear glass. The basis of wet collodion \u00a0process is silver nitrate which is used for sensitizing. The result of the wet collodion process is a picture formed of silver, in other words, the bright parts\u00a0of the picture is reacted silver that goes into halftones and dark areas of the photo.<\/h5>\n

Ever since I started to photograph on glass or similar material, so I frequently during normal contact with this material think of using it for photography. There\u00a0was no exception when I replaced the cracked heat-resistant glass on the stove. The glass was\u00a0broken and I needed to replace it. I took the glass, the glass was old and smoky. But I looked at the glass parts more and more. \u00a0I decided to use one broken part for an Ambrotype.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I measured the best piece of the broken glass which will be modified the for the size of the plate holder.<\/div>\n

I created a shape that I could insert in the plate holder.<\/p>\n

My goal was not for this glass material to achieve perfection or precision.\u00a0The properly cleaned glass from our stove is ready for using for Ambrotype.<\/div>\n

Olivie and Julie are already experienced models and know what shooting is all about. So I assumed that the result will succeed for the first time. Girls who love making videos, and there is one before collodion photo shoot \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After taking the portrait was followed the next day sandarac varnish coating. It is one of the last and most important steps before the frame adjustment, or saving of the plate in a case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the photo shoot, I chose the 260 mm lens, which is pretty fast \u00a0and \u00a0guaranteed shorter exposure time that was about 5 seconds. The size of the glass plate is 18×24 cm, 4 mm glass. Photographed: September 28, 2015 in Trebic. And here is the result. From this Ambrotype (slightly overexposted – tends to a negative) can be also made a print. Na za\u010d\u00e1tku bylo praskl\u00e9 sklo u krbov\u00fdch kamen, na konci je kolodiov\u00e1\u00a0fotografie (Ambrotypie).<\/h4>\n

Pozn. Ambrotypie je druh fotografie tvo\u0159en\u00e9\u00a0mokr\u00fdm kolodiov\u00fdm procesem. Ambrotypie m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt tvo\u0159ena nap\u0159. na \u010dir\u00e9 sklo. Z\u00e1kladem mokr\u00e9ho kolodiov\u00e9ho procesu je dusi\u010dnan st\u0159\u00edbrn\u00fd, pomoc\u00ed kter\u00e9ho se vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed sv\u011btlocitliv\u00e1 vrstva. V\u00fdsledkem mokr\u00e9ho kolodiov\u00e9ho procesu je (zjednodu\u0161en\u011b laicky \u0159e\u010deno) fotografie tvo\u0159en\u00e1 st\u0159\u00edbrem, jin\u00fdmi slovy sv\u011btl\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti fotografie je zreagovan\u00e9 st\u0159\u00edbro, kter\u00e9 p\u0159ech\u00e1z\u00ed do polot\u00f3n\u016f a tmav\u0161\u00edch \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed fotografie.<\/em><\/h5>\n

Od t\u00e9 doby co jsem za\u010dal tvo\u0159it fotografii na sklo nebo podobn\u00fd materi\u00e1l, tak mne \u010dasto p\u0159i b\u011b\u017en\u00e9m kontaktu s t\u00edmto materi\u00e1lem napadne pou\u017e\u00edt ho pro fotografii. Ne jinak tomu bylo kdy\u017e jsem se chystal vym\u011bnit praskl\u00e9 \u017e\u00e1ruvzdorn\u00e9 sklo u krbov\u00fdch kamen. Sklo, kter\u00e9 slou\u017eilo v kamnech n\u011bkolik let prasklo mechanick\u00fdm po\u0161kozen\u00edm nezb\u00fdvalo, ne\u017e ho vym\u011bnit. P\u0159i vyjmut\u00ed skla z litinov\u00e9ho r\u00e1mu a instalaci nov\u00e9ho skla z\u016fstalo star\u00e9 sklo le\u017eet na stole a bylo p\u0159ichyst\u00e1no na vyhozen\u00ed. Sklo bylo hodn\u011b za\u0161l\u00e9 a hodn\u011b za\u010douzen\u00e9. Ale p\u0159i pohledu na tyto zbytky siln\u00e9ho skla, kter\u00e9 bylo rozlomen\u00e9 na n\u011bkolik \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed \u00a0mne napadlo vy\u010distit ho pou\u017e\u00edt pro tvorbu Ambrotypie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Zm\u011b\u0159il jsem si nejvhodn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st rozbit\u00e9ho skla, kter\u00e9 se bude muset upravit pro velikost fotografick\u00e9 kazety.<\/div>\n

Po vyfocen\u00ed portr\u00e9tu n\u00e1sledovalo druh\u00fd den lakov\u00e1n\u00ed sandarakov\u00fdm lakem. Jedn\u00e1 se o jeden z posledn\u00edch a nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00edch krok\u016f p\u0159ed adjustac\u00ed do r\u00e1mu nebo ulo\u017een\u00ed desky do kazety.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pro focen\u00ed jsem vybral objektiv 260mm, kter\u00fd je dost sv\u011bteln\u00fd a zaru\u010dil mi krat\u0161\u00ed expozici, kter\u00e1 byla asi 5 sekund. Velikost sklen\u011bn\u00e9 desky asi 18×24 cm, s\u00edla skla 4 mm. Foceno 28.9.2015 v T\u0159eb\u00ed\u010di.
